Robots that clean and vacuum offer the convenience of cleaning both dry debris and wet messes in one time without the need to switch devices. They can also help save space compared to two separate units, particularly in smaller living spaces.
A good combination bot must have impressive navigation and obstacle avoidance. Look for models that have docks that let them automatically empty their bins, refill their water tanks and wash the mopping pads.
1. Eufy S1 Pro
It's one of the simplest robots to set up that we've ever tested. Unpacking is simple and the quick-start manual gets you running in no time. It comes with the complete dust bag, water tank and a hard floor.
The S1 Pro is an incredibly powerful machine that can vacuum and mop well. The mops spin at a high rate and employ 2.2 pounds (1kg of force) to quickly get rid of pet hair, dirt and sticky dried spills. The vacuum comes with four power modes, a variety of attachments and brushes, and an intuitive app that lets you choose the type of cleaning you'd like to have for each room.
You could, for instance request the robot to clean the kitchen and the living room thoroughly but leave the spare bedroom alone. The S1 Pro has excellent front collision sensors as well as smart navigation technology. It is able to detect small obstacles that other models can't. Its only issue is that the robot tends to crash into walls and objects at a high speed. However an inspection of the history of cleaning in the app will show you precisely what the robot has done, where it is going, and which obstacles he has run into or avoided.
The docking station features a handy LCD screen that shows the time when maintenance is required, such as emptying debris and cleaning the dirty water tank. It can also mix detergent into the water tank in a controlled manner, using a 600ml eufy solution.
Both the S1 Pro mop and vacuum come with a long-running time. The mop can operate for 184 mins in Quiet Mode and the vacuum can last 136 mins in normal mode, before needing recharging or returning to the base. The app is simple to use and intuitive that lets you look at all the details of the cleaning.
2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra
The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra, the latest version of Roborock's flagship robot vacuum and mop, is the most recent version. In contrast to the model of last year this one has a double agitator in its mopping pad which significantly improves its carpet cleaning capabilities. auto vacuum has enhanced suction power, which allows it to pick up small hairs and other debris that other robotic cleaners might miss.
The Roborock model, just like the other two models I tested is equipped with infrared and 3D obstacle avoidance technology to help it avoid obstacles such as walls, furniture and other obstacles. But the S8 Pro Ultra takes things a step further by incorporating a dual camera that can detect objects and decide whether they are an object that is a wall or a different surface. It is able to change its course in a way that is automatic and clean around the objects without missing a step.
It's the most expensive model I've tried and it comes with the most features. Its sleek angular design is eye catching and only has three physical buttons. The power button, which also restarts the cleaning process mop button, which doubles as a child lock, and a home-button to send the robot to its dock. The hinged lid can be lifted to reveal 350ml of dust bin and 200ml water tank. The water tank self-empties, and the bin is auto-refilling.
The only drawback I could find to this model was that the VibraRise mop pads mount isn't removable. Although you can change the mopping cloth (if needed) however, it's a hassle to take off the mount to wash it manually. I've found any plush carpet that the robot crosses will come into contact with the rough Velcro like fastener system on the mount, which can cause abrasions.
The S8 Pro Ultra has a variety of smart features, including support for Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Siri. You can manage and set up these through the Roborock app, which is also home to its maps and advanced mopping settings. The app allows you to schedule cleanings and monitor battery life and component maintenance. You'll have to go through a series of steps to activate voice control on this model. This is a shame considering how efficient it is otherwise.
3. Dreame X40
The Dreame X40 robot vacuum and mop is a leader in the industry with innovative features, superior suction power and advanced mowing abilities. Its innovative design lets users to tailor and effectively clean while saving time.

In contrast to other robots that are limited to a single task, the X40 can mop and vacuum at the same time. It can also be programmed to avoid areas that have carpet and only mop hard floors, or vice versa. It can be controlled using the Dreame App or Alexa, Siri, or Google Home to ensure smooth voice-controlled operations.
The app is user-friendly and simple to use and the X40's clever features are easy to set up. Users can program the X40 to clean at specific times. It is also possible to alter suction power, switch modes, view floor plans and maps, and manage mopping setting. The X40 can also track its progress and inform you when it's finished.
The X40 is easy to keep clean and has numerous features which make it a good choice for busy families. The docking station can automatically empty the dustbin and wash the mop pads, then refill them with cleaning solution and fresh water. It also can detect whether the mop pad has reached its capacity to the max and notify you of the situation before it spills.
4. L20 Ultra
The L20 Ultra robot is one of the most expensive models available. However, it has a number of characteristics that make it stand out. Smart DuoScrub is a brand new feature in its mops, uses two mop heads with high-speed motors to scrub floors more thoroughly. It also has a maximum suction force of 7,000Pa. This is more than the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra or Ecovacs Deebot T20 Omni, and it can vacuum up pet hair and other small dirt particles - as well as picking up spills and wet spots.
The mops are also cleaned and dried inside the base station after each use. This is a great feature as it keeps mould and unpleasant odours from accumulating in storage. It also makes the mop system more efficient. This is a feature that we haven't seen on other robot mop or vacuum models. It could be a great way to keep your home clean longer.
There's a wealth of options available which include the possibility to schedule cleaning appointments and adjust a number of different preferences. These can be set via the app or buttons on the device itself. The app is simple to use and has a lot of options for customising the cleaning routine. Additionally, there are many features that other robots don't include, for instance, the Clean Genius mode that automatically boosts suction power when it detects dust particles, rather than using a manual setting.
The L20 Ultra is also one of the most elegant robots we've seen in the market, sporting metallic and white colors that is elegant and stylish. It's a little heavier than the other two-in-1 robots on this list - at 4kg - but it's not obscenely heavy either, and it is sturdy and well-built. Mopping is also well-designed, and the double rotating mop is great for hard floors and in corners. The MopExtend feature allows them to reach even 2mm below the baseboards.
